Cleo was surrendered to Ibizan Hound Club of the United States Rescue in September of 2022, the day after the loss of my beloved Stella. At 11.5 years of age, she was in rough shape due to neglect but arrived here at Abbaio in great spirits and ready to get better! Thankfully, through research I was able to learn that Cleo's life was not always so bad as it was before she was surrendered. She has had a few different owners throughout her lifetime, and one particular previous owner had reached out to me to make sure that darling Cleo was safe and happy as she was particularly attached to her and sadly had to part with her a few years ago. It is heartwarming to know that while this old lady fell on some hard times for a bit, the majority of her life has been filled with love and kindness and she will now live the remainder of her days here as our adopted granny. Cleo fit right in from the first moment she walked through the door and has made herself into an integral part of the family. For her age, she is extremely playful, especially with puppies, and loves everyone she meets. I am so happy to have been given the opportunity to spend the rest of her life with her.
