Klemmie and I became a team at Kennel Club of Philadelphia in November 2009. She won her first point going breed over a special and was featured on the televised National Dog Show on Thanksgiving. With very limited showing, Klemmie finished her championship in December 2010. On the way to finishing her title, she became the first Ibizan in history to win Best of Breed at the Morris & Essex Kennel Club. She went on to finish her grand championship in just 4 weekends as a special, and in 5 weekends of showing in 2011, she was the #10 Ibizan in breed points.
Klementine returned to the ring during the IHCUS National weekend in 2011 where she won the breed at Saturday's Spirit of the Heartland Kennel Club supported entry! Her puppies also had many wins in Sweeps, Puppy Classes and Bred-By! 5 of her 7 puppies finished their championships before the age of 2 years, the other two having several points. There are multiple titles in conformation, lure coursing, agility and rally, and her daughter, Frances, is the youngest Ibizan Hound to qualify for the IHCUS versatility title. Her daughter Magnolia is the first Ibizan Hound to win an AKC Reserve Best in Show and her son Primo is the first smooth and first male Ibizan Hound to win an AKC NOHS Best in Show!
Klementine passed away on October 23, 2019. She was Diane's best friend and constant shadow for 11 years and she is greatly missed every day.
