This is the third litter born at Abbaio. Orion was a multiple group placing dog who was Best of Winners at the 2001 IHCUS National Specialty and Best of Opposite Sex at the 2002 IHCUS National Specialty. A correctly-sized dog with beautiful breed type, Orion is a proven producer who sired the #1 Ibizan Hound Dog (breed points) of 2012 who also won Best of Breed at Eukanuba. Stella is a typey, medium-sized girl who is from Abbaio's first litter, the 2011 "Italian" litter. She was Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes at the 2011 IHCUS National Specialty, reserve to the major at one of the trailer supported entries, Best of Winners at Beezerfest 2012 and finished her championship at 12 months old, the same day that she was awarded her junior courser title. While in the classes, Stella won 3 Bred by Exhibitor Group 1st awards and many placements. She was 4th in the open stake at the 2012 IHCUS National Specialty AKC Field Trial and finished her senior courser title at the end of the year, also winning her first point towards her field championship. She won two of 3 Bests of Breed her first weekend out as a special, and has been undefeated in the limited shows she has competed in in 2013, also adding a Group 3rd award to her resume. At the time of the whelping, Stella is Top 15 Ibizan Hound (all-breed points) and Top 20 Ibizan Hound (breed points) as of July 31, 2013.
